Greater Manchester Blood Bikes is the only blood bike charity (Registered UK Charity No. 1201009) serving the Greater Manchester area. They respond to urgent medical requests, moving time-critical supplies between hospitals, laboratories, milk banks, and healthcare sites when other transport options aren’t available. Their volunteer riders and drivers transport blood, plasma, platelets, vaccines, donor breast milk, and other critical items—completely free of charge to the NHS. By working outside normal hours, they reduce pressure on NHS resources while maintaining safe, professional, and reliable deliveries.

  • A trained volunteer rider or driver completes the journey safely and efficiently, following all road regulations.
